LEAH CORRAL, lcsw (SHE/HER)
MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN
Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 15 years working in education. That experience gave me a deep understanding of child development, learning differences, family dynamics, and the ways stress can show up in both children and adults. It continues to shape the way I partner with families and support clients with warmth, curiosity, and compassion.
I work with children, teens, young adults, and women-identifying adults who may be feeling overwhelmed by big emotions, behavior challenges, life transitions, anxiety, stress, or the lasting impact of trauma. Together, we create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and supported as they move toward healing and connection.I believe play is one of the most powerful ways we communicate, process, and heal — especially for children who do not yet have the words to fully express what they are feeling. My role is to help make sense of those experiences, support emotional growth, and hold space for both clients and caregivers along the way. My approach is rooted in integrative play therapy and informed by attachment, intersectional feminist, and neurobiological theory. I am currently working toward Registered Play Therapist certification and have advanced training in TraumaPlay.
I work closely with parents and caregivers throughout the therapeutic process, offering guidance, insight, and collaboration in ways that feel supportive and grounded while honoring the strengths and needs of each unique family. Clients often describe me as warm, playful, collaborative, and direct.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy being silly with my two daughters and my animals (dogs and cats), swimming, cooking, walking, caring for my historic home, and attempting to grow a wildly ambitious amount of flowers in a very small garden.
